UNBLOCK YOUR CREATIVITY
Creativity is not an act of doing. It is a state of being.
Realizing this changes everything
Why Film in Flow?
Are you struggling to bring
your ideas to life?
The fundamental misconception that most frustrated creative people suffer from is that creativity is an act of doing. They harbour the misguided belief that if they study hard enough, practice hard enough, work hard enough and push themselves hard enough, they can master their craft and if they are lucky, catch a creative spark and make art.
Sometimes they do. And sometimes they don’t. And all too often, the whole lot of it is fuelled on extreme effort, fear, desire, wilful trying, force, frustration, self doubt, anxiety and the desperate hope that luck will happen and out of it something great will come.
Take this test
How often have you experienced any of the following?
- Hit a creative block where you felt the ideas just wouldn't come?
- Felt ‘locked out’ of your creative flow?
- Experienced despair at your efforts?
- Lost confidence in your ability to create something unique?
- Struggled with your belief in your ability to deliver your ideas?
- Felt paralysed and overwhelmed in the face of your creative desires?
- Suffocated in the gap between who you dream of being as an artist and how you are experiencing yourself as an artist?
If you said yes to any one of these, then Film in Flow is for you.
Set your creativity free
If you are struggling with accessing your creativity, you need a brand new, upgraded relationship with your creative self.
Because creativity is something we can learn to listen to, something we can learn to tune in to. It is a source from which we can receive ideas and inspiration. Once understood, it is can become a roadmap that orients our own internal GPS to take us to the wellspring from which our own unique expression flows.
From frustration to flow
The reality is that true creativity is a power that is greater than the individual. It is something we can access, when we learn how to get out of our own way.
When we demand of ourselves to be creative, we create frustration, stress and disappointment. When we learn to understand how creativity really works, and how to access it we operate in flow, tap in to a source of energy and creativity that all of the great creative minds have used for centuries.
What is film in flow?
Film In Flow is an online programme for filmmakers who have a desire to know more about the nature of their relationship with their own creativity.
It is an immersive experience designed to open up the heart and mind and connect filmmakers to their vibrant, unique creative character. It is built on the premise that we all have a creative character and we can all thrive by nurturing our relationship with this unique part of ourselves. Ultimately Film In Flow explores the questions; Where do ideas/creativity come from? Can I have greater access to them/it? And if so, how do I do that? Film In Flow recognises that each person comes to this program with their own story about their creativity – their own unique history, emotions, desires and fears but more importantly, their unlimited potential and it is this potential that Film In Flow sets out enable participants to tap into, release and nurture.
Who is the course for?
Film In Flow is aimed at filmmakers of all ages and stages who wish to expand their ability to express themselves and their ideas – filmmakers who recognise that the source of their ideas and the confidence to express them through screen stories is intimately connected with their relationship with the interior world of their creativity.
